Vortex at Paramount's Great America is a near copy of the one at Paramount's Carowinds. Although, it's slightly shorter. This was Bolliger & Mabillard 's 2nd coaster after Iron Wolf at Six Flags Great America and officially opened on March 9, 1991. It is also a stand-up roller coaster.
