Volleyball in Spain

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Spanish volleyball league (Superliga de Voleibol) is divided in two divisions. The top teams play in the Superliga. In each division, a team plays all other teams twice, once at home and once away.

The Spanish league teams compete in Europe under EVC, most notably in the Indesit Champions League. The teams also compete in a domestic cup competition each year, called Copa del Rey de Voleibol/Copa de la Reina de Voleibol (King's/Queen's Cup). The winners of the Superliga play against the winners of the Copa in the Supercopa de España de Voleibol (Super Cup).
