The Volkswagen Polo Playa was a supermini sized car sold in South Africa from 1996 until 2002, which was a rebadged version of the SEAT Ibiza Mk II. A separate model, the Polo Mk III was sold in most markets inlcuding Western Europe during this period - this model shared its mechanical components with the Ibiza and Playa, but in hatchback form the body panels were all different.
It was produced in South Africa, and was a rebadged version of the SEAT Ibiza Mk II.
The car was only available in 5-door hatchback bodystyles.
The car was superseded in 2002 by the VW Polo Mk IV.
