Vlasic Pickles

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Vlasic Pickles grew out of a Detroit creamery and fresh pickle business begun by Eastern European immigrant Joe Vlasic in the 1920s. Vlasic's primary product, pickles packaged in glass-jars, began production during World War II, and the business rapidly expanded in the post-war years, corresponding with growth in per capita pickle consumption.

The stork logo was introduced in the early 1970s. Today, Vlasic is owned by Pinnacle Foods. [1]

The Serbian or Croatian name was originally written Vlašić.
