Vladimir Malakhov (chess)

Vladimir Malakhov (b. November 27, 1980) is a chess International Grandmaster from Russia. In the FIDE World Chess Championship 2004, Malakhov made it to the second round. His FIDE rating in October 2006 was 2682, making him the 25th-strongest player in the world. At the FIDE World Cup in 2002, Malakhov defeated Vassily Ivanchuk, one of the world's best players.
