[edit] War crimes allegations

Glebov was accused of committing war crimes by targeting the Chechen civilian population. The claim, which was stated by federal prosecutors, was that Glebov shot unarmed men and after killing them, Glebov would place a gun on top or near the bodies of the men and claim that he "wiped out" a small band of Chechen forces.

However, the government decided to not pursue the case and allowed Glebov to retire with his title and without investigating the allegations.
