Visp (French: Viège) is a municipality in the Canton of Valais in Switzerland and the seat of the district of Visp. Its population is around 7,000. The two valleys are Mattertal and Saastal. It borders with Brig-Gils.
The majority of the population is German-speaking.

Its chemical industry is named LONZA AG. There are smaller businesses.

- Matterhorn-Gotthard-Bahn, created through the fusion of Brig-Visp-Zermatt-Bahn and Furka-Oberalp-Bahn in 2003.
In 2007, Visp will become a junction of the Neue Eisenbahn-Alpentransversale or NEAT (pronounced neh-aht; literally: New Alpine Railway Crossing), connecting with the Basel-Bern-Lötschberg-Domodossola-Mailand line.
The bus and the train station of Visp and Brig serve as the starting point for many outdoor activities, trips, and tours in the surrounding mountain resorts Zermatt and Saas-Fee.
