Viscount Beresford

Viscount Beresford, of Beresford in the County of Stafford, was a peerage title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom created in 1814 for the noted military commander Lt. Gen. Lord Beresford in 1823. He had been created Baron Beresford, of Albuera and of Dungarvan in the County of Waterford, in 1814.
Beresford was the illegitimate son of the 1st Marquess of Waterford. On his death in 1854 both titles became extinct.
