O'Reilly didn't conspire with Burrano to give the Italians Johnny Post; wouldn't the Italians have killed them if he admitted to having set up Ortolani's death? Burrano was bluffing with O'Reilly during the interrogation, and O'Reilly never confessed to Burrano or the Italians that he set it up: he just claimed that he discovered Ortolani's killer (a decision he had discussed with Jefferson Keane).
