Virtex-4 is a family of high-end FPGAs manufactured by Xilinx. The family includes three device platforms:

LX - High-performance logic (Highest number of Logic Cells)
SX - Ultra-high performance signal processing (DSP)
FX - Embedded processing and serial connectivity (With 1 or 2 Hard Core PowerPC 405)
