Added because this really needs attention for historical accuracy. I'm sure the sequence of events is accurate, but on the subject of character and motivation, the article inherits a polemical tone from its 1904 source - "But the people, who had been long imbibing the spirit of liberty in their forest home, at last rose in rebellion against the tyranny of their cynical old governor .... etc etc" - that needs cleaning up for neutrality.
