Vine Street

For the street in London, see Vine Street, Westminster.

Vine is a street in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California that runs south — north — north — south from Melrose Avenue up past Hollywood Boulevard. The intersection of Hollywood & Vine was once a symbol of Hollywood itself; the famous intersection later fell into neglect and lost its status as a hub of Hollywood aside from in a historical sense, but renovations and a new up-scale hotel are in the works.

A subway station was also recently constructed just off the intersection, the Hollywood/Vine (LACMTA Station).

The Capitol Records building, Capitol Tower, is located just north of the intersection of Hollywood & Vine.

South of Melrose, Vine turns into Rossmoore Avenue, a Hancock Park thoroughfare that ends at Wilshire Boulevard.
