Vincent DiNapoli, Jr.
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Vincent DiNapoli, Jr. (b. 1966) is the son of former Genovese crime family captain Vincent DiNapoli, who for over a decade controlled most of the New York City construction industry because of his associates in the NYC District Council of Carpenters.
DiNapoli, Jr. would become a soldier in the Genovese family and be placed in the crew of Liborio Bellomo, who was a protege of the elder DiNapoli. The crew was originally based in East Harlem (then known as Saverio Santoro's 116th Street Crew), but has since moved its base to the Bronx. During the early 1990s, Bellomo served as an acting boss for Vincent Gigante. DiNapoli, Jr. has followed his father into the labor rackets, and has several interests in construction businesses. Investigators believe that the younger DiNapoli may currently be an acting captain with the latest indictment to hit the Bellomo crew in 2006.
The 2006 indictment includes: captain John "Buster" Ardito, soldiers Ralph "the Undertaker" Balsamo, Salvatore Larca, Gerald Fiorino, Vincent Russo, Albert Tranquillo, Jr., Louis Moscatiello, Arthur Nigro, Anthony Romanello, Pasquale Deluca, Albert "Chinky" Facciano, and James Pisacano to name a few. The men are charged with murder, murder conspiracy, extortion, labor racketeering, obstruction of justice, money laundering, narcotics trafficking, loan sharking, and illegal gambling.
