Vincas Mickevičius-Kapsukas

Vincas Mickevičius-Kapsukas (Budvečiai, 7 April 1880 [O.S. 23 March] — Moscow, 17 December 1935) was a Lithuanian political activist, one of the founders and leaders of the Lithuanian Communist Party.
The city of Marijampolė was renamed Kapsukas in his honor, from 1956 until 1989, shortly before Lithuania recovered its independence. During a visit to see Stalin in Moscow, in 1935, he died under mysterious circumstances. He was only fifty five years old.
