Villiers Park
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Villiers Park is an education trust with a residential education centre in Foxton, close to Cambridge in the United Kingdom. It caters for both adult functions and functions for young people, and has a close relationship with the National Academy for Gifted and Talented Youth. All of its courses centre around education, although the topics vary greatly.
[edit] Origins
The educational trust has its roots in a charitable foundation founded by Major the Hon. George Villiers (a descendant of the Duke of Buckingham of the same name). Today the trust's main buildings at the Cambridge site - Cadogan House, Verey House and Wagg House - are named for colleagues of Villiers (and contemporaries of his at Eton College) who were also involved in the establishment of the Villiers foundation.
