[edit] First Stage

When the company was founded, in 1979, the Village Theatre owned one theatre in Issaquah, called First Stage, which was actually built in 1913. It was the Village Theatres only and main theatre for a long time where they ran numerous professional shows. First Stage is very small, old and constricting so in 1994 they built another Theatre in Issaquah. This one was called the Francis J. Gaudette Theatre. Between 2002-2003 First Stage was under review from the Fire Marshal, who dictated that much of it was unsafe and a major Fire Hazard. This meant that much of the building couldn't be accessed, including the downstairs dressing room, or used to store any flammable material. Because of this the Village Theatre decided that they would rebuild First Stage in the near future. (Exact date yet to be decided) Right now, First Stage is used for many Village Theatre purposes including, KIDSTAGE and Village Original shows.

[edit] Main Stage / Francis J. Gaudette Theatre

The Francis J. Gaudette Theatre, better known as Main Stage, is the main theatre of the company. It was built in 1994 right down the street from First Stage. Main Stage, during Fall-Spring, puts on a season of five (5) shows, which is the leading income for the Village Theatre. Over 16,500 people subscribe for all five (5) shows and over 16,500 patrons visit, which provides 80% of the Village Theatre's budget. But not only a theatre it provides home for many other people and activities. It is the home of KIDSTAGE production office and rehearsals rooms for KIDSTAGE classes, administration offices for the yearlong and part time staff, and an annual fundraising Gala.

[edit] Everett Performing Arts Center / EPAC

The Everett Performing Arts Center is the newest theatre coming out of the Village Theatre. The City of Everett owns the building but contracted it out to the Village Theatre since 1998. The most up-to-date theatres of the bunch, EPAC is used as a secondary theatre. The Main Stage shows, after completing their performances in Issaquah, move up to Everett in 4-5 days and play there. EPAC is also home to KIDSTAGE, Pied Piper and an annual Gala also.

[edit] Mainstage Performances

Mainstage is the name used for the five (5) annual shows that the Village Theatre puts on. (Main Stage is used also for a name for the Franis J. Gaudette Theatre) These performances have been put on sense 1994. After completing a round with the Issaquah Theatre, a great move is made and all the set, mics, and actors are moved up to Everett for another round of performances. These annual shows are the main source of Income for the Village Theatre. Out of the 6.5 million dollars of budget ticket and subscriptions pay for 5.2 million of it (80%). During this time the Village Theatre employs more then 380 union/equity actors, directors, designers, technicians, and other theatre professionals.
