Established in 1952 by the MANAV VIKAS VIDYALAYA TRUST ,Kolkata VIKAS VIDYALAYA is a boarding school providing education for boys in a healthy atmosphere catering to an all round personality development of the students. Inaugurated by Dr. Rajendra Prasad in the year 1952.
Spread over an area of 200 acres the school is situated on the Ranchi-Patna Highway at a distance of 15 kms from the Railway station ,35 kms from Ramgarh Railway station and 20 kms from the airport. More than 50 acres are occupied by the School complex consisting of a three-storey Academic block ,Science laboratories ,Workshops ,Hobby centres ,Library & Art block ,four boarding houses ,Temple ,Gymnasium Hall - Auditorium ,Swimming pool ,Rifleshooting range ,An Open Air Theatre ,Central Dinning Hall ,etc.
The School is affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education New Delhi ,for All India Secondary School and Senior School Certificate Examinations. It has classes from III to XII.
