Vihti (IPA: /ˈʋihti/), or Vichtis in Swedish, is a small municipality located in the Uusimaa region of province of Southern Finland, approximately 50 km north of the capital city Helsinki. Its seat is Nummela. The population of Vihti is 25,561 (2004-12-31) and the town covers an area of 566.88 km² of which 44.91 km² is water. The population density is 48.97 inhabitants per km².
