Vielsalm

Vielsalm is a municipality located in the Belgian province of Luxembourg. On 1 January 2006 the municipality had 7,325 inhabitants. The total area is 139.76 km², giving a population density of 52 inhabitants per km².
Vielsalm (French for "old Salm", as opposed to a newer village that was later given up) was named after the River Salm. It was the origin of the counts of Salm.
