Victory Canteen

Victory Canteen is a musical comedy play with script by Milt Larsen and Bobby Lauher and song score by Richard M. Sherman and Robert B. Sherman. The play opened on January 27, 1971 at the Ivar Theatre and ran for seven months. The show featured former Mouseketeer Sherry Alberoni, famous 1940s sensation Patty Andrews, Laureen Yarnell (of Shields and Yarnell), Beverly Sanders, and Marcia Kramer.

The show is a happy-go-lucky review of 1940s style music written by the Sherman Brothers. It was the send up for 1974's Broadway show Over Here which also featured Patty Andrews as well as a songscore by the Shermans.
