[edit] Emergence

Victory formed in 1984 from the remnants of the band Fargo. Besides bassist Peter Knorn, the two guitarists Tommy Newton and John Lockton is the drummer Bernie Van of Graaf also from the partie. After she originally worked with singer Pedro Schemm after a small interlude with the later Thunderhead-Shouter Ted Pullit the former Gary Moore- and Ted Nugent-singer Charlie Huhn committed/obligated. By recommendation of Scorpions - guitarist Rudolph Schenker becomes the Band equal to beginning of their career under the wings of David Krebs' management (u.  A. Scorpions and Aerosmith) taken.

[edit] Taking Place

First, a self-titled album appeared in 1985 by CBS Records and excited a storm of indignation − particularly in the USA - because of provocative cover art: a naked woman lying on her back with her legs spread, forming a V. The hype worked and the album made the charts. Yet before the first US tour, drummer Bernie was replaced by Fritz Randow (ex-Eloy). Apart from playing 60 concerts, the Band was also in the two largest festivals of the country, Out In The Green in Oakland before 60,000 and the Texxas Jam before over 80,000 spectators. After his return to Germany, John Lockton was replaced by the former Accept guitarist, Herman Frank.

Also with the second album Don't Get Mad... Get Even the band again toured through Europe and America and the single Check's In The Mail gave them a radio hit in the USA. The third album Hungry Hearts came out in 1987 and the band toured through America and Europe again. With a concert in Hamburg, Victory made a live album too, which appeared in 1988 under the title That's Live. After its publication, singer Charlie Huhn left the band, in order to rejoin Humble Pie. His replacement is the 22-year-old Swiss, Fernando Garcia.

The fourth album Culture Killed The Native achieved place 19 in the German charts and also entered the hits in the USA again. A Europe tour as support for Gary Moore followed, before Victory started their first tour through America, as well as their first concert in Canada. Both Singles Never Satisfied and Don't Tell No Lies again received airplay on Radio and MTV. Both 1990 second studio albums appear with Garcia singing. Temples Of Gold appeared in the top 20 in Germany again and appeared in the first edition with six songs a comprehensive live EP, which was made in Los Angeles. An additional US-Tour followed, before 1992 the Album You Bought It You Name It was released.

Victory count meanwhile beside Scorpions, Accept and Helloween to the most successful German band, nevertheless they announced in 1994, with the double live album live LINE , their parting. Two years later those nevertheless brought in for the band the new album Voiceprint. Herman franc was replaced by the new guitarist Jake Paland, and for the drummer Fritz Randow came Matthias Liebetruth, which some years later in the German Metal Running Wild would hire. The echo in the scene is however relatively small, which entails the final dissolution for that band.

[edit] The time afterwards

When Tommy Newton makes himself a name as a producer (he worked on Helloween's Keeper Of The Seven Keys) becomes manager of Peter Knorn with Uli Jon Roth, Glenn Hughes and Michael Schenker. Charlie Huhn enters into year 2000 into the British Boogie-Band Foghat and und Fernando Garcia places his singing arts starting from 2004 into the service of Swiss metal band Godiva (Band). Fritz Randow played in the meantime for the English rock band Saxon.

[edit] Reunification in the new Millenium

In 2002, the first rumors of a reunification of Victory arose. Singer Fernando Garcia rejected a participation. Then it all the more surprised that in 2003, the album Instinct appeared with the lineup of Charlie chicken, Tommy Newton, Herman franc, Peter Knorn and Fritz Randow. Victory played some concerts in Russia, Bulgaria as well as on Wacken open air - a festival in northern Germany. Since singer Huhn was living in America and did not want to give his commitment up, he stood around tour activities accumulated badly(???). Huhn was finally replaced with Jioti Parcharidis, the singer of Human Fortress.

With it the singing those assumes the band the album Fuel To The Fire, containing covers of old classical band authors. It was published at the end of January 2006. With this release, the next lineup change followed. Drummer Fritz Randow left Victory and became by the former Sanvoisen-Drummer Achim Kellar replaced.
