Victoria "Viki" Lord Riley Buchanan Carpenter Davidson is an original and the principal character on the ABC soap opera, One Life to Live. She has been played by Erika Slezak since March 17, 1971.

Viki is undoubtedly considered one of the most complex characters on daytime television, suffering from Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID) as a result of the sexual abuse endured at the hands of her father, Victor Lord (originally portrayed by Ernest Graves). Furthermore, Viki has weathered widowhood (three times), rape, divorce, a brain aneurysm, a near-death out-of-body experience, a supposed time travel experience, being shot, suffering a stroke, breast cancer, and most recently, heart disease and a heart transplant.

Additionally, Victoria has been involved with a series of men. She was had relationships and married Roger Gordon, Joe Riley (Lee Patterson), Steve Burke, remarried Joe, then after his death from a brain tumor, married Clinton "Clint" Buchanan (originally Clint Ritchie, now Jerry verDorn). After the return of one of her most popular alter egos, Niki Smith, she divorced Clint, and upon her recovery, remarried him. Their marriage fell apart after Viki engaged in a relationship with Sloan Carpenter, and years after his death, married Clint Buchanan's brother, Ben Davidson (Mark Derwin). Her full legal name following all these relationships is Victoria Lord (Gordon) Riley Burke Riley Buchanan Buchanan Carpenter Davidson, but she goes by the shortened, condensed Victoria Lord Davidson.

Viki has two brothers (Tony Harris Lord, deceased; Todd Manning) and two sisters (Meredith Lord Wolek , deceased; Tina Lord). Her living siblings are Todd Manning (formerly Roger Howarth, now Trevor St. John) and Tina Clayton Lord (most notably played by Andrea Evans). She also has five children, one of whom died from lupus. Her children are Megan Gordon Harrison (deceased; portrayed by Jessica Tuck), Kevin Lord Riley Buchanan, Sr. (currently Dan Gauthier), Joseph "Joey" Francis Riley Buchanan, Jr. (most recently, Bruce Michael Hall), Jessica Buchanan Vega (currently Bree Williamson), and Natalie Buchanan (Melissa Archer).

For many years, Viki has had a feud with fellow Llanview resident Doctor Dorian Cramer Lord (Robin Strasser). This stemmed from an incident in the 1970s when Dorian was fired from Llanview Hospital and had her medical license revoked as a result of a patient's death. Dorian, convinced that Victoria had voted for departure from the hospital, but, unbeknownst to Dorian, was for her staying, swore revenge against her. This long-standing conflict intensified when Dorian married Viki's father, Victor, hence the last name "Lord." Ever since then, Viki and Dorian have endure Viki's multiple personalities, many injuries, and being trapped together in an avalanche, in addition to much more.

In spite of her many personal setbacks, Victoria is one of the most respected woman in Llanview and has served as both the Mayor of Llanview and the President of Llanview University. She was forced to resign as University President in 2005 when Dorian forged checks to make it look as if Viki had misappropriated funds from the University and put them into Buchanan Enterprises accounts.

Originally, the part of Victoria was portrayed by Gillian Spencer from 1968 until 1970, and by Joanne Dorian from late 1970 to 1971. Afterward, the part was again recast and Erika Slezak got the part. Since then, Slezak has become synonymous with the character. Furthermore, for her portrayal of Victoria Lord, she has won six Daytime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series (in 1984, 1986, 1992, 1995, 1996, and 2005) breaking a record for the actress with the most Daytime Emmys and tying the record for most awards by an actor with Justin Deas. Slezak also holds the record for the most Daytime Emmy wins for playing the same character.

Two other actresses have played Viki while Erika Slezak was on maternity leave: Judith Barcroft in 1987 and Christine Jones in 1981 & 1982.

Victoria Lord resides at 1177 Regency Drive at the Lord Llanfair Mansion in the fictional city of Llanview, a suburb of Philadelphia.
