Victor Veysey

Victor Vincent Veysey (April 14, 1915 - February 13, 2001) was a California Republican politician.
Veysey was born 1915 in Los Angeles, California, USA.
He received a BS from California Institute of Technology (CalTech) in 1936, a MBA from Harvard University in 1938, and did graduate work at Stanford University. He was a professor at CalTech during 1938–1940 and 1941–1946, and Stanford University, 1940–1941.
Veysey moved to Brawley, California, where he was the member of the school board, 1955–1962, a member of the Imperial Valley College Board, 1960–1962, and a member of the advisory commission, U.S. Department of Agriculture, 1959–1963.
Veysey was a member of the California state assembly, 1963–1971, a delegate to the 1972 Republican National Convention, and was elected In 1970 he was elected to the 92nd Congress, and reflected, serving during 1972&n dash;1975. He lost his bid for relection in 1974.
During 1975–1977. he was Assistant Secretary for Civil Works for the U.S. Army. In 1983, he was secretary for industrial relations for the State of California.
Veysey died 2001 Hemet, California and is buried at Riverview Cemetery, Brawley.
