Victor Riesel

Victor Riesel (1917-1995) was an American newspaper journalist who specialized in news related to labor unions. He wrote a column for the New York Post that was nationally syndicated. The most publicized aspect of his career was an April 5, 1956 attack in which sulfuric acid was thrown in his face on a Manhattan street, which resulted in his permanent blindness.
New York organized-crime figure John Dioguardi was indicted in the crime.
