Victor Kachaka

Victor Kachaka is a folk musician, guitarist and lawyer from Lusaka, Zambia.
Victor rose to fame after recording "It is True" a popular novelty tune during the early 1990's.
Victor's follow up was yet another novelty song entitled "Beer Man".
Victor's music can be charaterised as Zambian folk music, incorporating elements of traditional Zambian music and western folk music. One commentator desrcibed his musical language as more influenced by Bob Dylan than by rappers. Victor favours the use of satire and comedy to make poinant social commentary.
