Victor Bailey

Victor Bailey (born March 27, 1960 in Philadelphia) is an American electric bass player.

Bailey attended the Berklee College of Music in Boston after being disqualified from naval service due to asthma.

Bailey has played and recorded with Omar Hakim, Sonny Rollins, Miriam Makeba, Lenny White, Hamiet Bluiet, Olu Dara, Don Alias, Sadao Watanabe, Michael Urbaniak, Ursula Dudziak, Roy Haynes, Tom Browne, Bobby Broom, Kenny Kirkland, Bernard Wright, Mike Stern, Donald Blackman, Dennis Chambers, Poogie Bell, Rene McClean, Kevin Eubanks, Tommy Campbell, Kenwood Dennard, Delmar Brown, Najee, Weather Report, Michael Brecker, LL Cool J, and Mary J Blige.

Bailey has toured with Omar Hakim, Kenny Garrett, Dennis Chambers, Bennie Maupin, Poogie Bell, Jim Beard, Patrice Rushen, David Gilmore, David Fuiczynsky, Scott Peaker, Rayford Griffin and Nick Smith, Madonna, Joe Zawinul and The Zawinul Syndicate, Weather Report and Sting, among others.
