Vicopisano is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Pisa in the Italian region Tuscany, located about 50 km west of Florence and about 15 km east of Pisa. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 8,032 and an area of 26.9 km2.[1]
The municipality of Vicopisano contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) San Giovanni alla Vena, Uliveto Terme, Caprona, Lugnano, and Cucigliana.
Vicopisano borders the following municipalities: Bientina, Buti, Calci, Calcinaia, Cascina, San Giuliano Terme.
