From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

For the flying boat, see Vickers Valentia

The Valentia or Type 264 was a British biplane cargo aircraft built by Vickers for the Royal Air Force. It was a development of the Victoria with more powerful Bristol Pegasus engines. It flew for the first time in 1934 and entered service with British forces in India, Persia and Iraq from the following year.

Some units of the type were converted to bomber configuration and used in local combats.

Valentias remained in service until 1944.
