Vesalius College, also known commonly as VeCo is a Liberal Arts college situated in the heart of Brussels, Belgium. The college is operated in association with the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (the VUB). It is named after Andreas Vesalius, one of the first and foremost pioneers in the study of Anatomy who lived during the Renaissance period - he is also one of the most famous sons of Belgium.
The college introduced a three-year Bachelors Degree program in 2004 in accordance with the Bologna process and is currently phasing out the previous four-year degree program. Vesalius College is one of the few educational institutions in Belgium teaching exclusively in English. It has a relatively small Student Body of around 400 students - a quarter of whom are "study abroad" students who are visiting the college for one or two semesters to indulge themselves in rich Belgian and European culture and obtain transfer credits back at their home universities.
