Brothers Grimm [65] Top October 30, 2006 B 0.5 Rated B-class, bordering on Start. Things needed to improve:
  • From this article, it never becomes clear why the Brothers Grimm should be a core biography. Indeed, any significance section is lacking.
  • needs in-line references
  • Large list, needs to be replaced by a paragraph about their most important fairy tales.
  • No fair use rationale for the bank note. This picture might not be eligible in this case, as the article is not on the bank note. (cf Fair Use guide line for the Barry Bonds baseball card example. Errabee 20:54, 3 October 2006 (UTC) (edit comment)

Economy of Germany [72] Top November 22, 2006 B The biggest problem with this article is that it is to a large degree written from a US POV as opposed to a neutral POV. It is sily, for example, to start the section on foreign investments by pointing out that the US is the *second* largest foreign investor, and then going on to point out that France is Nr. 1

Dresden [124] High November 3, 2006 B 0.5 As I have studied some of the musicians who were prominent during the 1720s and beyond like Vivaldi (and his pupil Pisendal) particularly, I would like to have seen a more detailed (5 or 6 lines) expansion about the influence of music in Dresden at that time. Dresden houses now Vivaldi's many of Vivaldi's manuscripts and a melbourne musicologist recently discovered another piece of his music from a collection in Dresden. Pisendals collection of Vivaldi's music contains one of the oldest strata of music by this great Italian composer. He (Vivaldi) sold music directly to the court but Pisendal (and others) were part of what seems to be a huge music scene in Dresden. The court was obviously an enormous factor in the lives of composers as we know and so many members of royalty were music lovers creating pockets of activity and patronage. It would be really great to investigate the influence of this Dresden connection more deeply. I would like to be part of this but it would have to be after I have written the story on Vivaldi.

Treaty of Versailles [153] High December 3, 2006 B This article seems to get quite a lot of vandalism and some POV-pushing. The revert skirmishes about terminology (Big Three/Big Four) lead repeatedly to inconsistent text. In view of the subject's importance, the article needs a lot of attention, but has great potential, in my opinion. It would be nice to get better references for things like the German delegation's reply. It seems rather disjointed, in particular as regards the discussion of different assessments of the treaty. I would like to see the treaty better put in its wider context; from a German perspective, for instance, I would like to see more about the treaty's influence on the rise of National Socialism, the Dolchstoßlegende, etc., (though it should no be overdone).--Boson 16:21, 2 December 2006 (UTC) (edit comment)
