Wikipedia:Version 0.5 Nominations/Missing articles

This page is designed to facilitate the nomination and review process of core topics for Wikipedia:Version 0.5 (V0.5), the test CD release designed to pave the way for Wikipedia:Version 1.0.

This page is for high-priority articles needed to help correct topic imbalance of articles selected for Wikipedia:Version 0.5. Articles should only be nominated by members of the review team.

Country articles are automatically nominated and reviewed on the Country Review page.

[edit] Criteria

Items are chosen for this specific page based on their importance. At least as a general rule, articles listed here should also be listed at one of the following:

• Wikipedia:Version 1.0 Editorial Team/Core topics
• supplementary list
• Wikipedia:WikiProject Biography/Core biographies or Wikipedia:Version 1.0 Editorial Team/Biographies (These two should both list the same biographies, but they have a couple of other differences.)

The quality criteria given at importance and quality apply.

• Reviews should only be done by members of the review team (if you want to help sign up here).
• The reviewer should not have been a significant contributor to the article under review.
• After an article has been reviewed, the following process is carried out.

1. "Strikeout" the article name on this page, using <s> and </s>.
2. Place the {{V0.5|class=XX|category=YY}} template on its talk page. See {{V0.5}} for details of classes and categories (which may not be the same as the categories on this page).
3. List the article on Wikipedia:Version 0.5 under the appropriate section.

If the article fails to meet the criteria because of quality problems:

1. Note the problem next to the article’s listing.
2. Consider indicating a clear reason on the article's talk page.
3. Consider requesting a cleanup of the article using cleanup tags or requests on the talk page.
4. Consider nominating the article for Wikipedia:Version 1.0 Editorial Team/Core topics/Core topics COTF|Core topics COTF]], WP:FARC or WP:AID.
