Vero Beach Dodgers
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Vero Beach Dodgers are a minor league baseball team based in Vero Beach, Florida.
The team, which plays in the Florida State League, had been the High-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Dodgers major-league club for 27 seasons. On September 28, 2006, the Vero Beach team signed a new affiliation agreement with the Tampa Bay Devil Rays beginning in the 2007 season.[1] It is likely that the team will have a new nickname, possibly the Vero Beach Rays.
The Vero Beach team plays its home games at Holman Stadium. Completed for the 1953 season, the park seats 6,500 fans. It is also where the Los Angeles Dodgers currently hold their spring training.
