Vermont Agency of Transportation (VTrans) is the transportation agency for the state of Vermont. It was created in 1979 by combining the departments of Highway, Motor Vehicles, Aeronautics and Public Transit.

In addition to the usual road building and maintenance, VTrans oversees 451 miles of railway and ten state-owned airports [1].
