"Vermilion" is a single released by the band Slipknot. One idea about the meaning of the song is that it is sung from a stalker's point of view. One other is that it's a song about unrequited love. Another is simply a lost love song, perhaps about a dead love. Maybe the song is a song sung from a suicidal person, due to love loss.
[edit] Vermilion Pt. 2
Slipknot has also released a song on the same album entitled "Vermilion Pt. 2", which is a more mellow acoustic version quite unlike their normal style; the lyrics are sung and the emotion in the song is more sad and mellow than normal.
