[edit] Career with Dune

She started her career with the group Dune being the dancer during performances. This was when Dune consisted of Oliver Froning, Jens Oettrich and Bernd Burhoff. It was this job that led her to become the groups lead vocalist.

After three albums with Dune (Expedicion, Live! and Forever), Verena decided to leave Dune in 1997 to become a solo singer. In 1999, Verena rejoined the Dune and in the end of 1999 the single Dark Side Of The Moon was released. But due to legal complications the following single Heaven and the album Reunion couldn't be released and Dune stopped their activity for an indefinite time.

[edit] Solo career

The first single Finally Alone was released in 1997 during her time away from Dune. The second single Heartbeat and the third single Part of Your World, the theme song from Disney's movie The Little Mermaid, was released in 1998. The fourth single Sky (Follow Me) was set to be released in the end of 1998, but was canceled because the third single didn't do so well. Unfortunally because the singles didn't sell as much as the record company had hoped they canceled the recordings.

In 2002 Verena released a cover of Aphrodite's Child's song Rain & Tears.
