Vera Jimenez is currently a Los Angeles traffic reporter for KCBS-TV (CBS 2). She works the early morning slot between 5:00am and 9:00am. Prior to joining CBS 2 in January 2005, Vera spent two years working as a traffic reporter for KABC-TV also in Los Angeles.

She was born in Mexico and moved to Garden Grove, California at the age of three. She graduated from Bolsa Grande High School in Garden Grove. She earned an A.A. from Santa Ana Community College and later earned her B.A from Cal State Long Beach in religious studies.

She went on to become a traffic producer before becoming an airborne traffic reporter for KNX radio in Los Angeles. She made her first TV appearance in 1998.

She competed in the 2005 LA Triathlon.
