Venister
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Venister, creator of GunZ, lives in Korea. He has been making games for quite a few years, starting with other games before he, and a team of programmers, made GunZ in 2003. This was all in Korea, but GunZ moved to the international surface.
[edit] History
Venister is CEO of MAIET. MAIET was organized in 1998, and went public in that same year. The first project by MAIET was Ace Saga, a kind of futuristic strategy game that shut down early on. In 2003 MAIET produced GunZ, a largely popular MMOG.
When International GunZ became more and more popular, Venister hired a new manager, Guntrix to overcome certain language barriers. Guntrix is now the main public MAIET figure to International GunZ figures, although Venister is still the CEO of the company. Changes implemented since Guntrix became manager include: a hacking-prevent system (X-Trap) and better communication with GunZ players through a well-known Gunz fan-forum, GunZFactor (because the official forums are down).
Eventually, they had then moved on to the enormously popular GunZ. Since then, Venister had helped expand the GunZ franchise, making deals with Level Up!, a game publisher that works with the Philippines, Brazil, and India. — Venister and Guntrix recently announced this message to all members at GunZFactor.com —
"Greetings everyone, This is Venister of MAIET Entertainment, Inc. I am very sorry about that I have not been able to main contact with you for a long time, especially during the time when our Official forum was closed. However, I have been hearing about you via Guntrix, and I would like to deeply appreciate your continuous love of GUNZ despite its inferior quality of service. What I would like to deliver today could be good news or bad news to some of you. However, I would really like to inform it to you other than anyone else. I thought GunZFactor.com would be the best place to introduce the news, thus I am here now contacting you via Mr. Guntrix. GunZ The Duel's North America service is about to be launched. As a matter of fact, the contract is not yet completely finalized, therefore, I would want this not to be any part of Press Release or publicly announced yet. I would like this news to be a friendly heads up information to all of you who love GunZ. As I stated above, the contract agreement is not yet completed, thus I cannot state the name of publisher. I think that we will be able to announce this publicly in the following week through www.gunzonline.com. Actually, for the past few weeks, our development team has been renewing the release for the North America service, and has also been internally testing if the game is operating perfectly in the new network environment. We think that, after the publisher tests and confirms this, you will be able to enjoy the game in the new server environment. We will update on this again later with more detailed information and future plans. Thank you very much."
