Guys, the text is taken from PUBLIC NEWS RELEASES, what don't you understand? Press releases can be quoted anywhere.
It's from VASCO's overview page at http://www.vasco.com/about/overview.html (WHICH YAHOO COPIED), and can be found in many VASCO press releases (one of them is http://www.vasco.com/about/press/fullstory.html?press=278)

Apparently a press release - but does this mean it can/should be kept? Angela
Probably still should be deleted for copyright reasons: press releases typically allow for verbatim copying and redistribution, but not for distribution of derivative works, so aren't GFDL-compatible. --Delirium 02:12, Oct 25, 2003 (UTC)
Almost any press release or open letter can be kept. It's really hard not to be making fair use of a document which has as its fundamental purpose getting its contents spread as widely as possible and any republication does that. Competitors using one might cause other types of legal risk. I'm not sure that the pages referenced are actually press releases but they are primarily purely factual information. Since the facts are the substantive content and there's minimal creative work, the use is likely to be fair in almost all cases. Vasco seems to have a significantly different visual presentation from the original but it would be nice if a couple of the paragraphs were written differently. A wikiproject on corporate data presentation is needed and that would take care of presentation isues eventually. Listing as pages needing work and forgetting copyvio seems best in these two cases. - But we don't want it if it may only be used as 'fair use' - that means it is not compatible with the GFDL. Angela 18:00, Oct 26, 2003 (UTC)

- I agree with Angela.. Evil saltine 21:17, 26 Oct 2003 (UTC)
Can you think of any uses of a US press release or open letter which are incompatible with the GFDL? Even commercial use of portions is not going to be copyright infringement in most cases. Still, Talk:Vasco/temp has a portion with anything which appeared potentially copyrightable rewritten. JamesDay 16:28, 28 Oct 2003 (UTC)
