Varena is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Trento in the Italian region Trentino-South Tyrol, located about 35 km northeast of Trento. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 825 and an area of 23.2 km2.[1]
Varena borders the following municipalities: Deutschnofen-Nova Ponente, Aldein-Aldino, Tesero, Daiano, and Cavalese.
