Vancouver Playhouse Theatre Company

The Vancouver Playhouse Theatre Company is a professional theatre company in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada founded in October, 1962. Its current mandate is to exclusively mount productions of contemporary theatre. The theatre company is based at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre, which is also home to the Vancouver Recital Society and the Friends of Chamber Music. The current artistic director is Glynis Leyshon, who was appointed in 1997.
A major fundraiser for the company is the Vancouver Playhouse International Wine Festival, which has been held since 1979.
