[edit] General overview
The Valsione is a mecha developed by the Divine Crusaders, a faction created by the scientist Bian Zoldark to fight alien invaders. The Valsione is a very distinctive mecha in its appearance; in addition to it's female body styling (complete with very long "hair"), the Valsione's face is also protected by a covering that resembles human skin, and capable of changing its expressions to match those of the pilot. This makes the Valsione resemble a giant girl in armor.
The Valsione was built by Bian Zoldark specifically for his daughter, Lune Zoldark, who was also trained to become a pilot since she was at a young age. It may be considered the female counterpart of the much more powerful Valsion, the personal machine of Bian Zoldark himself (and the most powerful mecha of the Divine Crusaders, excluding the Granzon). Both the Valsione and the Valsion share the basic same technology, and also have some weapons in common. While much less powerful than the Valsion, the Valsione is an extremely powerful and versatile robot compared to the usual standards. The Valsione would be later updated into the more powerful Valsione R (R for Reppu, Return) using Langran technology when Lune went to La Gias.
[edit] Valsione - Specifications and abilities
This unit is fully capable of flight (probably thanks to some gravity control, as no thrusters are visible), it has great mobility and speed, making it very difficult to hit. In addition it is able to make short burts of speed, allowing it to create an "after-image" effect, to confuse enemies. The unit is also quite well armored and armed.
This unit first appears in Super Robot Wars 3 as an optional character, and is also present in Super Robot Wars EX and both Super Robot Wars Original Generation games.
Model Number: DCSMH-02
Height: 24.6 Meters
Weight: 39.7 Tons
[edit] Weapons
Divine Arm:
A basic sword used for melee combat. It has the same name as the sword used by the Valsion, but it is much smaller and comparably less powerful.
Hyper Beam Cannon:
A large beam cannon that is summoned into the mecha's hands that fires large beam shots.
Psycho Blaster:
A very powerful MAP weapon, able to destroy many foes at once. With this attack several bursts of energy originate from the mecha and expand in a sphere around it, hitting all the enemies in the area of effect. While very different technologically, its use is very similar, but less powerful, than the Cybuster's Cyflash attack.
Cross Smasher:
The most powerful single-target attack of the Vasione. It fires a pair of different coloured beams that spiral around each other, and hit the target with a drilling effect. Note that this is the same weapon mounted on the Valsion.
The above weapons are the default weapons equipped on the Valsione. In the Original Generation games, the Valcione's loadout may be changed to adapt to the situation - the Divine Arm and Hyper Beam Cannon can be replaced or outright removed. The Cross Smasher and Psycho Blaster are inherent, however, and cannot be removed. It can also equip more weapons like a Personal Trooper can, within weight limits, of course.
[edit] Valsione R - Specifications and abilities
An impovement of the original Valsione. It enhances every aspect of the mech and add new weapons.
This unit first appear in Super Robot Wars 4, and is also present in Super Robot Wars F Final, Alpha, Alpha Gaiden, and Super Robot Wars Gaiden: Lord of Elementals.
Model Number: DCSMH-02R
Height: 24.6 Meters
Weight: 39.7 Tons

Divine Blade:
A sword used for melee combat. An improvement over the old Divine Arm
Hyper Beam Cannon:
A large beam cannon that is summoned into the mech's hands, and fires large beam shots.
Psycho Blaster:
A very powerful weapon, able to destroy many foes at once. With this attack several bursts of energy originate from the mecha and expand in a sphere around it, hitting all the enemies in the area of effect. While very different technologically, in its use is very similar, but less powerful, than the Cybuster's Cyflash attack.
Cross Saucer:
A pair of disk-like wapons are stored on the mech shoulders. When used the disks fly up toward the target and strike it several times for slashing damage.
Cross Smasher:
The same attack as the one in the older Valsione. It fires a pair of different coloured beams that spiral around each other, and hit the target with a drilling effect. Note that this is the same weapon mounted on the Valsion.
Engetsu Sappou:
The final and most powerful attack of the Valsione R. It brandishes the Divine Blade in a circle (usually calling a special effect of the full moon behind the mech), then slashes the target with a powerful horizontal cut, cutting it in half and destroying it.
[edit] The Pilot, Lune Zoldark
The only daughter of Divine Crusader leader Bian Zoldark, Lune is a very capable pilot, trained to utilize the Valsione. She is a cute blue-eyed blonde but also real tomboyish. While she was never close to her father, who was too busy with his dream of unifying the Earth to counter the alien menace, she still hunted down Masaki Andoh to get revenge, after he'd killed her father. Hovewer, she later joins forces with him and the other members of the ATX and SRX Teams (Londo Bell in other SRW timelines), and eventually falls in love with Masaki, who doesn't seem to recognize her feelings for him.
