Valera

Valera is a city in Trujillo State in Venezuela, situated between the rivers Momboy and Motatán. The current mayor is Ali Quintero Parra. It is also home to the Universidad Valle del Momboy, a private university.

As the economic and commercial center of Trujillo state, it has a vibrant business community. Valera has two daily papers, the Diario de Los Andes and the Diario El Tiempo, [1] along with several radio stations, including Angel FM 93.7, whose broadcasts can be heard over the internet at http://www.angelfm.com.ve. Among its most prominent celebrities is José Luis González, famous actor, director and recently proved to be one of the most important Venezuelan athletes in Nike 10k held in Latinamerica.
