Valda Sheergold is a fictional character from the Australian television soap opera Neighbours, played by Joan Sydney. She first appeared in 2002 at her granddaughter, Stephanie Scully's non-wedding to Marc Lambert and has reappeared in a recurring guest capacity. Her most notable storylines include being revealed as Lyn Scully's biological mother, and marrying her teenage sweetheart, Charlie Cassidy on the same day as Steph's wedding to Max Hoyland.
