Val Fuentes

Val Fuentes (b. November 25, 1947, Chicago, Illinois). Original and current drummer for the psychedic folk-rock band It's a Beautiful Day. Has also played with Fat Chance, New Riders of the Purple Sage, Shadowfax, Lina Valentino, Linda Imperial, The Pure Pleasure Band, and The Moments. Currently lives in California and plays shows with It's a Beautiful Day.

His son Carlo Fuentes is a drummer as well. He has played in a plethora of Sonoma County rock bands like Auto Erotic, The 88's, and more notably The Full Body Shiver, in which Carlo both sang and played drums. He attends Sonoma State University.
