Vadena (German: Pfatten) is a comune (municipality) in South Tyrol in the Italian region Trentino-South Tyrol, located about 40 km northeast of Trento and about 10 km southwest of Bolzano. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 853 and an area of 13.5 km2.[1]

The municipality of Vadena contains the frazione (subdivision) Piccolongo.

Vadena borders the following municipalities: Eppan an der Weinstraße, Bolzano, Bronzolo, Kaltern an der Weinstraße, Laives, Auer, and Tramin an der Weinstraße.
