Vadapalani

Vadapalani (meaning 'Northern Palani') is one of the main hubs of Chennai. It is a busy suburb, thanks to the Lord Muruga temple and its proximity to T. Nagar (the shopping district of Chennai) and Kodambakkam (the film capital of south). Vadapalani is also close to Guindy (6 km) and Koyambedu (4 km] ). It is well connected to all suburbs in Chennai and has it own bus terminus. It is one of the better suburbs in Chennai.

HCL Technologies and Tata Consultancy Services have huge offices in Vadapalani. The TCS office, a sprawling campus in Jawaharlal Nehru Road (also called the 100 ft. road) houses nearly 3000 employees.

The Vijaya-Vauhini studios, The Prasad Colour Lab and Studios, Efx Studios and AVM studio are in Vadapalani. There are many actors and actresses living in Vadapalani. Not so famous film personalities working as stunt artistes, dancers, extras and television artistes can be spotted regularly in Vadapalani.

Saravana Bhavan (whose headquarters is here) is the most prominent eat-outs in this area. For meat-lovers, Ponnusamy is a good place to eat. Raahat Plaza is the preferred hang-out for youngsters. Kovai Sri Krishna sweets has a branch here as well. There are many other restaurants and fast food joints.
Vasanta Bhavan is also a good south indian eat-out and more over AVM Rajeswari and KAMALA theatre are located here.
