[edit] Sports, clubs, and traditions

Every year the school hosts an "Angel Flight", which is a fundraising event.[2] The school holds an All-Alumni Weekend for two days every July.

[edit] Athletic achievements

School sports are baseball, basketball (boys, girls), bowling, cross country, football, golf (boys, girls), ice hockey, powerlifting, soccer (boys, girls), softball, swimming, tennis (boys, girls), track and field, trapshooting, volleyball, and wrestling, as well as intramurals. On 19 November 2005, Skutt won the Class B 2005 football title, versus the McCook Bisons.[3] Other Skutt teams winning Class B State Championships in 2005-2006, included wrestling, boys basketball, girls soccer, boys soccer (state finalists), girls tennis, and boys golf. Within trapshooting, titles were won by the 1st Squad for the Handicaped Division, and third overall in Class B.[4]

[edit] History

In July 2006, the school filed a lawsuit against "John and Jane Doe", one or more anonymous Wikipedia users accused of posting libelous information in the article about this school.[5] The lawsuit allows the school to subpoena account information for the alleged offender's IP address from their ISP.[6]

According to the Associated Press [5], the comment in question is as follows: “It’s (sic) tuition is ridiculously high, too. Not to mention you get an awful education there. They put more emphasis on sports than they do education. No wonder almost all kids there are complete idiots.”
