V. K. Gokak

V. K. Gokak (Vinayak Krishna Gokak) (1909-1992) was an author and scholar of Kannada literature. His mother tongue was also Kannada. He was awarded the Jnanpith award for his epic Bharatha Sindhu Rashmi. Bharatha Sindhu Rashmi is perhaps the longest epic written in any language in the 20th Century. It deals with the vedic age. Gokak was a Professor of English literature.
