Västtrafik
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Västtrafik is the company responsible for public transport services involving buses, trams, ferries and trains in the County of Västra Götaland, Sweden.
The whole of the Göteborg public transport network is equipped with sensors which track the location of every bus or tram at any given time. The system allows to estimate when a tram or bus will be leaving from the next stop in real time. This is the information displayed in bus/tram shelters, and it indicates any delays affecting the next bus or tram.
Västtrafik is a member of the Travel Card Association, along with the Stockholm public transport company (SL), Skåne public transport authority (Skånetrafiken), Örebro/Södermanland public transport authority, the Swedish rail network SJ, Danish railways and Copenhagen Public Transport Authority.
