Uwe Köller

Uwe Köller ( born 1964 in Neuss, Germany ) is a German trumpeter.


He studied classical trumpet with teacher Rodney Miller in Düsseldorf, Pierre Thibaud in Paris, France and was scholarship holder at Herbert-Karajan foundation, taught by Martin Kretzer

1988 he became principal trumpeter at Berlin Symphony Orchestra,
1991 principal trumpeter of German Opera Berlin.
Since 1997 he is professor for trumpet at university of music in Graz, Austria,
also teacher at Folkwang music school in Essen, Germany.

He is well known for his visionary cross-over style.
Audience and colleagues pay tribute to his noticeable volume he is able to play while keeping a clear tone.

Since 1995 he is member of German Brass ensemble.
